This is a stressful weekend in the US, no matter how you cut it. Moana is a delight with grins, laughs, tears, and The Rock rapping. Basically it has everything. In addition to all of this, there is the story of Maui, a demi-god and hero who stole the heart of the island goddess Te Fiti, and then lost it and his magic fishhook, and as a result evil and darkness is spreading across the world. Moana needs to find Maui, help him find his hook, then return the heart to Te Fiti and save the world! Simple, right?
Moana We Know the Way Clip
Disney's newest animated adventure, Moana , is already making a name for itself in a number of different ways. The film's animation is perhaps the most stunningly beautiful the studio has ever put out, the lead character is the first Disney princess without so much of a whisper of a love interest, and the film's music is some of the greatest to come from the Mouse House in years. But due to the Polynesian setting, only half of the song is in English. The translation of "We Know the Way" from Moana , though, is truly fitting for the film.

The first song they completed was "We Know the Way", which Foa'i began after his first meeting with Disney in December The trio worked together in New Zealand and in Los Angeles. In addition to guitars and strings, the score features Polynesian vocals and percussion, woodwinds made from bamboo from the South Pacific, and traditional hide-covered Tyka drums.
